Founded in 1916 as a supplier of rivets, which were used in the strapping of wooden barrels, Brainard Rivet has grown into a world class manufacturer of Small Rivets, Large Rivets, Shoulder Rivets, Drilled Products, Knurled Pins, Grooved Pins and Special Shaved Fasteners. Brainard continues to supply the needs of the General Metalworking, Distributor, Farm, Railroad and Auto/Truck Industries. The facilities, manufacturing equipment and processes were purchased from Textron, Inc. on April 30, 1998. Brainard Rivet Company is now a subsidiary of Fastener Industries, Inc.; also an Employee Owned Company located in Berea, Ohio. Fastener Industries is a well-established manufacturer of high quality weld fasteners and has been owned by its employees since 1980.
